Casual, Standard and Expert are officially confirmed as three customizable control styles. They are not the game's published difficulty list.

Koei Tecmo's official system page calls Casual, Standard and Expert three control styles. Earlier wording on this page treated Casual as a difficulty and projected Normal, Hard and Inferno tiers. That was not supported by the official description and has been removed.

Which control style should you choose?

These recommendations follow the official positioning only. Until the settings menu is public, do not assume Casual changes Titan health, player damage, material drops, mission grades or achievements.

What is confirmed about difficulty?

Koei Tecmo confirms that the three control styles can each be customized in more detail, but it has not published a separate difficulty-tier list. Enemy aggression, damage, resource scarcity, reward multipliers, difficulty switching and achievement restrictions all remain Unconfirmed/TBD.
